সরকারিভাবে আমদানি করা রাসায়নিক সার আত্মসাৎ করায় ঠিকাদারি প্রতিষ্ঠান মেসার্স পোটন ট্রেডার্সের বিরুদ্ধে ১ হাজার ১৬৩ কোটি টাকা পাওনা দাবি করে মানি স্যুট (অর্থ আদায়) মামলা করেছে সরকারি প্রতিষ্ঠান রসায়নিক শিল্প সংস্থা (বিসিআইসি)। গত ২৮ মার্চ ঢাকার পঞ্চম যুগ্ম জেলা জজ আদালতে মামলাটি করা হয়।

বিসিআইসির দুটি তদন্তে উঠে এসেছে, বন্দর থেকে খালাসের পর পরিবহনের দায়িত্বে থাকা পোটন ট্রেডার্স ৭২ হাজার মেট্রিক টন রাসায়নিক সার গুদামে পৌঁছে না দিয়ে তা আত্মসাৎ করে। এতে সরকারের ৫৮২ কোটি টাকা আর্থিক ক্ষতি হয়। তদন্ত প্রতিবেদনে অর্থ আত্মসাতের বিষয়টি উঠে আসার পর আদালতে মামলাটি করা হয়।
